The Hepatitis C Trust is the national UK charity for hepatitis C and has been operating since 2001. It is an entirely patient-led and patient-run organisation: all of its staff, both paid and voluntary, either have hepatitis C or have had it and have cleared it after treatment.

The Herpes Viruses Association helps to improve life for people with herpes simplex by: helping them to understand the condition and put it into its proper perspective as a common skin complaint; publishing a quarterly journal SPHERE which covers everything from research news to articles on stress management and our social events; running trials to ascertain the effectiveness of complementary treatments; publishing the results from our questionnaires about the experience of living with herpes simplex; supporting and encouraging local groups and meetings, and training and supporting the volunteer helpliners.

National Chlamydia Screening Programme

The National Chlamydia Screening Programme (NCSP) is an NHS sexual health programme that was set up by the Department of Health in England in 2003. The NCSP aims to ensure that all sexually active young people under 25 are aware of chlamydia, its effects, and have access to free and confidential testing services.

We provide the following free and confidential services: testing for and treatment of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), investigation of genital symptoms, counselling and advice about STIs, testing for HIV, hepatitis B and hepatitis C, treatment of HIV, hepatitis B vaccination for those at increased risk, drop-in self-testing for Chlamydia, free condoms, emergency Contraception. We offer priority access to some people including: people aged under 18, men who have sex with men, people who work in the sex industry, people who have been sexually assaulted and people who have had sex with someone who has an STI. All medications, vaccines and consultations are free.  Also hold clinics in Elgin.
