- However, the following events can be some of the most psychologically damaging ones.
- Serious physical injury.
- Serious life threatening illness.
- Dramatic loss of a parent or carer or sibling.
- Witness to serious violence (especially against a parent).
- Exposure to horrific scenes (e.g., of gore and mutilation).
- The serious injury of death of a friend or class mate.
